The painstaking efforts over the past 10 years to design a comprehensive system for health care, especially cardiovascular care, for the elderly in order to eliminate disparities in access to health care across the regions of Taiwan were praised highly. I hope that through the presentation of evidence that this system actually contributes not only to the health of patients but also to the well-being of their families and healthcare professionals, it will go on to set an example for the world.
