The design philosophy behind the TUF Gaming A14 is all about blending power with portability. The rear of the chassis features a full-width heatsink and large exhaust vents, increasing cooling performance and leaving the left and right sides of the machine free for I/O connectivity. This chassis design also allowed for the thin and sleek shape of the frame near the touchpad.

A 180° hinge design allows you to find the perfect angle no matter how you use the A14. The hinges are also mounted on top of the main frame of the laptop, allowing air to pass through the heatsinks with no impedance.

Durability

MILITARY GRADE TOUGHNESS

In order to earn the TUF Gaming name, these laptops must successfully survive a rigorous battery of MIL-STD-810H tests. Test devices are exposed to drops, vibration, humidity, and extreme temperatures to ensure reliability. Dependable even in the harshest conditions, the A14 is more than capable of withstanding the accidental bumps and knocks of everyday life.

Powerful components require powerful cooling, and the TUF Gaming A14 is capable of 130W TDP in Turbo mode. So we equipped the machine with a whole suite of technology to keep it running at peak performance. The keyboard has been redesigned to increase airflow and reduce surface temperatures, and when paired with ultra-thin heatsink fins and 89-blade fans, the A14 will be running at peak performance for years to come.​

The TUF Gaming A14 features a large rear heatsink, making the most of its 14-inch frame. This rear exhaust keeps hot air and fan noise pointed away from you and your hands for a cooler and quieter experience.

When dust and fibers collect inside a machine, heat can get trapped, causing degraded performance over time. A filter over the A14’s air intakes helps keep dust out, allowing the CPU and GPU to breathe easier for years of smooth and stable operation.

The A14’s thermal energy is dissipated by two heatsinks, each lined with ultra-thin copper fins as slim as 0.1 mm.
Higher density fins allow for increased heat dissipation and lower air resistance for smoother flow.

Inward airflow

Not all air needs to be sent to the copper heatsinks. The fan shrouds have precisely calculated cutouts to direct airflow toward internal components like memory and VRM modules, keeping them cooler and operating at peak efficiency.

Redesigned keyboard

Previous keyboard designs focused on keeping the chassis temperatures cool, keeping your fingers comfortable during long gaming sessions. The newly redesigned keyboard not only keeps your hands comfortable on the trackpad and keyboard deck, but increases air intake for the main system components as well, boosting the A14’s cooling performance without increasing weight or chassis size.

0db Ambient Cooling

Enjoy truly silent cooling under light workloads with 0dB Ambient Cooling technology. In the Silent operating mode, the cooling system switches off all fans during everyday tasks to dissipate heat passively. This lets you concentrate on your work and immerse yourself in movies with less distraction. If CPU or GPU temperatures increase, the fans automatically switch on again.

AI Noise Cancellation
