The ASUS RT-BE88U is a solid mid-range WiFi 7 router that caters to demanding users with its advanced features and multiple LAN ports.
Without a doubt, the key selling point of the Asus RT-BE88U is the number of WAN/LAN ports. For starters, it has a 10Gbps WAN port that's ideal for Singapore users who have recently upgraded to one of the increasingly affordable 10Gbps fibre broadband plans. There's also a 10Gbps SFP+ port, though that's more for prosumers and networking enthusiasts. Then there are four 2.5Gbps ports that are useful if you have a gaming laptop with an Ethernet port, which often tops out at 2.5Gbps. And to complete the set, there are four basic 1Gbps ports. Asus says these ports add up in total to 34Gbps of wired bandwidth — if you manage to utilise all them fully, that is.
