The rear of the chassis features a full-width heatsink and large exhaust vents, increasing cooling performance and leaving the left and right sides of the machine free for I/O connectivity. This chassis design also allowed for the thin and sleek shape of the frame near the touchpad.

A 180° hinge design allows you to find the perfect angle no matter how you use the A14. The hinges are also mounted on top of the main frame of the laptop, allowing air to pass through the heatsinks with no impedance.

Durability

MILITARY GRADE TOUGHNESS

In order to earn the TUF Gaming name, these laptops must successfully survive a rigorous battery of MIL-STD-810H tests. Test devices are exposed to drops, vibration, humidity, and extreme temperatures to ensure reliability. Dependable even in the harshest conditions, the A14 is more than capable of withstanding the accidental bumps and knocks of everyday life.

Powerful components require powerful cooling, and the TUF Gaming A14 is capable of 130W TDP in Turbo mode. So we equipped the machine with a whole suite of technology to keep it running at peak performance. The TUF Gaming A14 features a large rear heatsink, making the most of its 14-inch frame. This rear exhaust keeps hot air and fan noise pointed away from you and your hands for a cooler and quieter experience.

When dust and fibers collect inside a machine, heat can get trapped, causing degraded performance over time. A filter over the A14’s air intakes helps keep dust out, allowing the CPU and GPU to breathe easier for years of smooth and stable operation.

In the Silent operating mode, the cooling system switches off all fans during everyday tasks to dissipate heat passively. Video Playback: Testing is done with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth off, Windows Power Plan set to Balanced, Taskbar Power Mode set to Battery Saver,  system volume at 67%, and video at full screen, 1080p resolution.
