[Healthcare system] Troubleshooting - Potential excessive battery consumption for ASUS VivoWatch 6 / 6 AERO

Li-ion batteries used for electronic products are consumable products. Due to the chemical properties of Lithium ions, the battery capacity will decrease by use over time, the user’s environment, and behavior. Therefore, you may experience that the battery life is not as expected, but that is a normal occurrence. Here you can learn more about ASUS Battery Information Center.

In addition to the aging effect on batteries, if you feel that the battery life of your ASUS VivoWatch 6 / 6 AERO is short, please refer to the following steps:

Step 1. Connect the device to the ASUS HealthConnect APP, tap Device > Software update, and check & update to the latest software version.

Step 2. Turn Off non-using Features

-Pause and stop Exercise mode when not exercising

-Disable unnecessary notifications (Setting path: ASUS HealthConnect APP > Device > Notification)

Step 3. Adjust Settings

-Reduce the frequency of background measurements (Setting path: ASUS HealthConnect APP > Device > Reminders & Background Measurement)
-Shorten the screen on time (Setting path: ASUS HealthConnect APP > Device > Screen and Power Saving Mode > Advanced screen settings)
-Lower the screen brightness (Setting path: ASUS VivoWatch Home screen> Settings > Brightness)

Step 4. Perform a full charge and discharge cycle to ensure that the device can effectively measure the battery's charging capacity.

4-1.Connect the device to a USB charging cable and charge for at least 2 hours (even if the battery level already shows 100%, please still charge it for 2 hours).

4-2.Use your ASUS VivoWatch 6 / 6 AERO normally until a low battery warning appears on the screen (below 5% battery level) or the battery is completely depleted and the device shuts down. Then, fully charge the device to 100% battery level.
